FATAL ACCIDENT.
KILLED ON THE BAILWAY. [BY TKLEGRAFH,] Wellington, Monday. Joseph Rene, well known at Porirua, was killed on the Manawatu railway today at Waikanae. While attempting to board a moving train he misßed his footing and fell on the railfj. Two oars and a van passed over the unfortunate man's legs. He died shortly afterwards. Bene was eduoated at Bishopsoourt, Nelson, and was a member of the Maori football team which visited England.
