Beceived June 15, 1,15 a.m. Sydney, Thursday. In the Assembly Sir W. Lyne said Parliament was going to do work, orthe Gov-

ernment would not remain on the Treasury Benches. He traversed Mr Reid's criticisms. The other colonies having appointed delegates no other oourse waa open but to send Mr Barton. He defended the action in regard to the plague, the despatch of troops to South Africa, and volunteer promotion, and the appointment of the finance committee and its findings. Mr Reid having nominated two members of the committee he considered he was entitled to nominate the third. The debate is proceeding.
