FOOTBALL.
— « The following referees have been apj pointed to act in Saturday's matches : — On the Eeoreation Ground: Caledonians v. Napier 2nd, Mr Benonf ; Napier Ist v. Pirates Ist, Mr Norris. On the Spit ground : West End No. Iv. Ahuriri 3rd, Mr Fulton; Pirates 2nd v. Ahuriri 2nd, Mr Hallamore. Mr A. C. Norris, of the Wellington Eeferees Association, at present in Napier on leave, will act in the senior match on Saturday. Mr Norris is an old Napier sport, and no dbubt Napier footballers will be pleased to renew acquaintances. Mr H. G. Hallamore has been appointed by the Hawke's Bay Eeferees Association to act as referee in the college fixture Wanganni v. Te Aute, to be played at Woodville on Saturday, 23rd instant.
