Orinond's new sire The Officer (Robinson Crusoe— Marie Louise) was landed in Napier from the Elingamite yesterday, being brought up from Dunedin (where the horse was transhipped from the Taluno from Melbourne) in chnrjje of 13.I 3 . "Williams. The Oflioer iB a fine-looking, well-built horse, and as he is comparatively young, has a good chance to porpotuato his name when mated with the first-class thoroughbred mares at Karainu, which comprise stock from Musket, St. Leger, Eiridspord, Malua, Neckersgat, Dreadnought, Apremont, Trenton, and others.
