' VISIT TO HOKITIKA. I _______ [ [BY TELEGRAPH.] Hokitika, Monday. The Governor and Lady Eanfurly and ,_ suite arrived this morning by speoial " train, accompanied by the Premier and Mrs Seddon. They were met by the Mayor and the County chairman, mem- , bers of the local bodies, and a large con- [ course of people. The Volunteers formed a guard of honor. Addresses were pre--1 sented in front of the Town Hall, and the i school children sang the National • Anthem. ! In the afternoon a large picnic and luncheon was held at Kanieri lake. ' Afterwards the party pulled across, the lake and visited the celebrated Dprothy falls, They returned this evening to the i town, which was decorated and illumi- . nated. They visit Lake Mahinapua tomorrow, thence to Boss, returning in the evening. During his stay here the Governor and party are the guests of Mr Joseph Mandel, ex-Mayor, the well-knowr brewer.
