me Wanganui cricketers will arriv< here by the express train on Wednesdaj and play the two following days. Thi team consists of the following players :- Cave (3), Meldrum, Marshall, Howard Barlow, Shannon, Barclay, Tompkins, ant Shields. Mr tusk, the selector for Hawke'i Bay, has chosen the following team t< play against them :— D. Canning, H. Pan nin, A. H. Gore, W. J. Hughes, G. F Hill, G. Hawke, G. Marshall, J. Taiaroa H. C. "Wilson, J: Wolstenholme, and "W Young. lust will not bo playing, and C. H Cato cannot get the necessary leave These two being out will no doubt weaker the batting, but those who are playing in representative cricket will probablj justify their positions in the team.
