BANK OF NEW ZEALAND.

Wellington, Saturday. The Bank of Now Zealand premises were pulled down more than a year ago, for the purpose of erecting new and much larger buildings. The tenders were so high that nothing was done. The amended plans for a three instead of a four-storied building of much plainer appearance have been drawn, and new tenders are now to be called. The cost is estimated at .£27,000, and accommodation is to be provided for the local and central staffs and the Assets Board. The directors expect to save .£2OO a year in rent byputting up a new edifice.
