NATIVE TOWNSHIPS.
Gisborne, Thursday.
The Hon. J. Carroll returned from a visit to the East Coast with Mr Percy Smith, the Surveyor-General, where site 3 were chosen at Tokoniaru, Waipiro, and Kawakawa for townships to be formed under the Native Townships Act, Blr Carroll having made satisfactory arrangements with the native owners.
