The local! office have been advised of the following movements of their steamers :— The Euapohu arrived at Gravesend on the Bth instant, in time for the January sales. The Papanui, the first of two new large passenger steamers just completed to meet the requirements of the growing trade of this colony, was to have left Plymouth on the 14th instant, and is due at Auckland about the sth March. She was built by Messrs Denny Bros, and is constructed on similar lines to the Buahine, with all the latest modern appliances for working cargo, &c, and for the comfort of passengers nothing has been overlooked and no expense spared. The second steamer has been named Wakanui, and is to sail for Port Chalmers on the 23rd February. The Kaikoura leave 3 London on 2nd February, the Buahine on the 2nd March, the "Waimate on the 12tb March, and the Kimutaka on the 30th March,
