H.B. BOARD OF RABBIT TRUSTEES.

A finance meeting of the above Board was held yesterday in the Council Chambers at Hastings. Messrs T. Crosse (chairman) and Waterhouse constituting the committee. Accounts were passed for payment amounting to ,£242 14s lOd. The following reports from inspectors were received : - INSPECTOR A7IITES. With Fordo on Glengarrie, fresh traces. Killed five rabbits, also one on Glenshee ; saw one in rough block. Fresh traces on Peninsula, killed rabbit ; started one on Black Broa. ; no signs on I>. Couper'a. Fresh truces on lotter-box paddock ; no fresh signs on Kakainoana, Bodley's, J. Peddie's, or Ohurakura. Traces^ on King's. None on Keanse's, Howell's, or tho incline. Fresh signs on OrniondV Frimley also being attended to. No signs on Beluiont. Started rabbit on Okawa. Few traces on Tois and on island, Waikonini; being attended to. Mangatutu and Silver Stream no signs, but some on Ardlussa, killed two rabbits. Babbits had cropped up on Blowhard range. INSPECTOR CAMPBELL. Havling, Fairfield, and Ashcott. Saw rabbit in Stockade. On Tangarewa, killed rabbit near Roy's crossing. On Severnsen's and round Makaretu, Khyber, Pass. Killed two near pass. Killed one on Bibby's at Pntangata and Te Aute, Killed one in Te Aro paddock. Traces in Rathbone's bush, saw rabbit in Storah's and traces in Tokuhara bush. Up Waipawa river, round Hampden, down Manganoka river, saw no traces. INSPECTOR TICKNBK. Killed rabbit on Mount Herbert and four on Tangatupera. Killed buck on river bed and stop of seven. Traces on Kowhai, Btarted rabbit on short spurß, killed one next Kuru Bros.' and one below Mount Pleasant. Killed three on back of Mangararapa and two in block next Mangamaire; traces along back range. Killed two in K. Eopia'a. Killed" three on Mangararapa back. No traces Oakbourne or Te Ori, but started rabbit down spur. Killed two on Ngapaiwai clearing. Slight traces on top of Bullock Hill, WalHngford; traces foot of Boar Hill. Started rabbit below whare and found traces. Slight on Treanor's. Killed two at Cliff's and one in next block. Killed five at end of double hill block. Mahara-keke-Porangahau, no fresh traces except at point. Killed doe and took stop of five qn tablelands. Killed one on Maharakeke bank and one further down. Makaietu run well worked. Traces on several sections, Norsewood. Started rabbits on Harris's, Buckland and Ehodes's, Eosskalin's, Ficsen's, and Smith's. INSPECTOR M'PHERSON. On Oringi and clearings Matahiwi bush, no signs. Slight signs on river beds at totara bush. Killed rabbit on Bartons, and saw traces at Davia's. Got stop of five on Lynch's, Kuineroac, two killed recently. Saw rabbit at driftwood on Holder's. Fence to Whitehead's in good order. Started two rabbits at manuka next Waewaepa and one at crossing to Hamilton's. Signs on Tiratu side of river ; started rabbit. Traces on top of range on J. Smyth's and Hoggard's. Killed rabbit on T. H. Hunter's, Otope. Through Pharazyn's; no signs. Started rabbit in. Waterfall paddock ; numerous traces south of fence at Puketois. Traces on Armstrong's and Guerin's less numerous. Over Stock reserve; slight signs north of fence and several fresh on south side; slight on long spur, Burnview; none at Wainui. Killed rabbit on Woodbank ; saw one at manuka scrab. Wimbledon country: Signs on Sargeant's, Whitehead's, and Mrs Franklyn'sj no signs on Bloomfield and Kelvingrove, Fitzlaif's, and part of Palmer's ; slight on Byan's and Kerr's boundaries, and on Herbert's. Tepapakuku: Signs on Monrad's, Greenaway's, and Larwick's. Killed rabbit at Carlson's and Peterson's boundaries. No signs in Ngapaerum clearings, but some in Mangamaire paddock ; started rabbit in Pekapekohai paddock. Umutaoroa sections : Signs on Cordell's and Fierebend's. Started rabbit on Dance's ; on other sections no signs. Traces on Beatie's. INSPECTOR WOOF. Attempted inspection of range. Bad' weather set in. Came out to AshleyClinton and to Makaretu. Traces on Jens Andersen's. New burnt spur with rabbits north of Howlett's camp. Worked tableland and spurs leading to Thompson's copper mine. Several traces found on spurs. Along Norsewood spur; nothing new. Killed rabbit and saw several signs at head of Pohangina. No traces on Wellington spur; killed two on head of long spur. Tried to strike Howlitt's camp, but failed. No traces on spur from Tumore to bottom of peak. With Inspector Campbell on boundaries near Euahine settlement; killed two rabbits on Ross's, near Khyber Pass. Traces in centre of Ingliss's'; killed rabbit, also traces on- spurs running to Crown lands. Numerous traces on J., Connor's; killed two rabbits here and served notice. Several traces back of Brieske's section in Namoko; started two rabbits. «This will be poisoned. Found no traces on spur from Apiti road. On Euahine special settlement seotions, traces on high spur running along back, After the 10th settlers Btart cutting for seed, and will rabbit; served notices. Eakautatahi: Traces on M. Eopiha's, Tangaroa, and Thompson's; two killed at latter reoently. No signs on Bupuha's and P. Ngahi's ; nothing fresh on Peni's, Smiths', and Nepo's. This block, except bush country, is very clear. M'Cullough and Pringle laying toxa. Intend poisoning Crown land behind Ingles' and Blackburn, as rabbits are on all spurs. MISCELLANEOUS. The committee decided to retain Mr M'Cullough's services up to the end of six months. Eabbiter Forde's report is »to be forwarded to Mr Carmichael for his perusal. The balance-sheet for the past year was read, approved, and signed.
