The Snpreme Corut criminal sittings ooDotnded to-day, the last Indictments being against James Nor they and Walter Anderson obareed with breakiog Into three hoaees and stealing valuables. On the first) Indictment a conviction was obtained and the acousod pleaded guilty to the other charges and were sentenced to three years and two years respootlvely. Id appeared these yonng men— Nortbey pave hie age at 21 and Anderson at 29— obtained a horse, hired a cart, and then deliberately started on a tour of plunder. Their mode was simple, rendering theft easy and detection dlfUonlt. They wcnld drive up to isolated dwelling) and make some pretence for oalling. They than fonnd placos which were uaoconpled, and thoeo they broke into and stolo vAlaables, taking owe not to disturb anything else, so that It was some days before the thinpß were missed. The police had the pair nnder observatloo, but oonld trace none of the missing articled, even after arrest, until a hen scratched up a gold watch. A system of digging revealed the remainder of the stolen property.
