W. Richardson, M.A., M.D., LL.D., P.R.S., and they will find the allegations made absolutely untrue, I have carefully read each parb referred to, and shown each page to the Bnbedltor.
I find on page 89 Or. Richardson says : Water consists of three atomic parts, two of hydrogen and one of oxygen, . , . Alcohol consists of nine parts, two of carbon, six of hydrogen, and one of oxygen. . . . Page 90 : Alcohol contains oae element, carbon, which water does not contain. Dr. Richardson in very simple and clear in his description of the two artioles water and alcohol, so that any child can understand them. It is only the writer in tlie Bulletin who does not see the difference between water and alcohol, and who la (to use a digger's phrase) Daff-ercd ont by onr secretary. Let the public fudge of the authority, Dr. Richardson or Mr Hewlett — which ?
T may say that our teachers found no difficulty in instructing the ( gcho!ars some time ago from the bnok, though lately it has been discontinued.
