Tho North New Zealand Grand National meeting, to be run under the auspices of the Auckland Racing Club, commences to • morrow. Horses and visitors from all parts of tbe colony have arrived to take part in the meeting. Liberator has done good work since bis ' arrival here, and must take a power of beating in the Grnnd National Hurdles. Ebor failed miserably in a gallop with Norton yesterday. In to-night's Star " Hlppona " selects Coala to win, Liberator next, and Bonovoreo in the other • place. Liberator and Norton are favorites for the double of Hurdles and Great Northern Steeplechase. Later, , There Is every appearance of fair weather lor the opening day of the tforlb. - New Zealand Grand National meeting at Ellerslle to-morrow. It Is expected there will be a field of eight for the Grand National Hurdle Race, for which Liberator b a firm favorite at 2 to 1. Coala and Ebor have been quoted at 3to 1, Norton U still most fancied far the Great Northern Steeplechase.
