In the conrse of an interview with the Minister of Agriculture, a deputation pointed ond that recent experiments demonstrated that the very fiaeat packing which could be obtained for apples was shredded tl-tree bark. A quantity of Ihia bark was imported Into the colony recently at a cost of £11 per ton. The Minister pointed ont that there was no necessity to import bark from Queensland. Ti-treegrew abundantly in Victoria, and if the same sorb of machine which contd shred bark was obtained, settlers woold have a moat profitable industry. -
