THE SKULL CAP.

SIR, — May I nsk yon to help ma in drawing attention to a custom which, if continued, mu9t very seriously find painfully inteifere with tho comfort of mauy a young man Id the not very distant future! I refer to the kind of headcovering or skull cap so much in use at present. Yonnp folk run about and naturally, perspire. This they do with the cap on the hend. What ventilation do we find between the hollow cap and the ronuded reeking scalp with weeping hair? The head ia a forest with streams and taperiug trees, soils, and pub-coils. Surrounded and pressed on by dense fogs or low, wide spreading, heavily-laden clond", its growth is retarded, but though for the present overwhelmed ant 1 nearly dpad, it risen agaiu.
