[bedteb's telegrams.] (Eeceived Jane 3, 1.15 a.m.) The series of busts of distinguished English statesmen which have been executed for the Sydney Art Gallery by Mr Woolner, R.A., are now completed, aud the statues will be shipped to Australia at once. The Daily News to-day states that King Christian, of Denmark, has been requested by England to arbitrate between that country and Russia on the Afghan question, and that His Majesty has consented to act in that capacity.
