TO THE ELECTORS OF THIS ELECTORAL DISTRIOT OF WAIPAWA. |"~1 ENTLEMEN,— The time has now arrived for me to announce that I have muoh pleasure in acceding to the numerous requests I have received from all olaeses in all parti of your distriot to offer myself as a Candidate at the coming Election, and at the proper time I shall explain to you my views on the important questions of the day. I may add that I have, in common with yourselves, tax interest in the general progress of the district, as I hold property in it. I lived for many years in the neighborhood of Waipawa, and represented the distriot in the late Provincial Oounoil, and I am well acquainted with all its requirements, and while my chief concern will be the interests of the oolony as a whole, I shall do my utmost for the interests of the distriot if I am eleoted to represent it. IN pursuance of the " Regulation of Elections Act, 1881," I, John Collinge, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Hawke's Bay, do hereby give notice that, by. virtue of a Writ bearing date 27th June, 188*, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an Election will be held for the return of one qualified person to serve as member for the said electoral district, and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Town Hall, Hastings, at noon on the 15th of July, , 1884, and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling places of the said district on the 22nd day of July, 1884.
