No entry will be reoeived for any race except upon the condition that all oluims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 5 soys, which sam shall be forfeited to the funds if the protest is not sustained. All nominations, entries, acceptances, 4c, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must bo addressed to the Secretary, and left at the Criterion Hotel, Napier, not later than 8 p.m. on the several specified dates. General entry night, Tuesday, 23rd September. The rules and weights of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross amount of all stakes. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. "Hack" shall mean a horse that has never started in a weight-for-age or handicap race.
