Madrid, October 2. King Alfonso returned to this city today, and was welcomed with great enthusiasm by the populace. His Majesty received an ovation of unequalled magnificence, and was warmly cheered alontj the route to the palace. An open reception was held by the KiDg during the day at the palace, and it is estimated that fully 30,000 persons took part in the proceedings on the occasion.
