The wheat market has impi'oved during the week. Buyers are eager to operate, though prices have advanced. Sales are reported at 3s 9£d, first-class ; milling is worth 3s 9d ; medium 3s 3d to 3s 5d ; chick wheat 2s lOd to 3a 2d ; oats are in brisk demand, best 2s 8d to 2s 9d ; good feed 2s 6d to 3a 7d ; barley, no alteration, 5s 6d to 5s 9d ; potatoes, £5 to £6 ; early blue Derwent, 6s lOd.
