MB. MILLER'S SALES IMPORTANT NOTICE TO BREEDERS. LINCOLN~RAMS. JOSEPH MAY, ESQ., of Mount St. tl Johns, and Messrs M'Lean and 00, per Major Jackson, of Te Awamutu, had as previously advertised, instructed Mr Miller to sell their pure Lincoln Rams as nsaal at the Annual Ram Fair at Hastings on 6th February, but the Inspector of Sheep for this district having on Friday last given their agent here notice that he intended putting all sheep imported from Auckland under quarantine, this was communicated by wire, and these breeders replied by telegram that this short notice from the inspector does not do them justice, as by being quarantined their rams would be debarred from being at Hastings till some days after the Fair, and that having already made all arrangements for sending their usual supply to this market, they now instruct that their Rama shall be sold by auction at the Spit immediately on arrivalof steamers, so that tjhe sheep can be fully inspected by intending buyers before being dipped, viz., 105 Lincoln Rams, two and four-tooth, bred by Joseph May, to arrive per Taupo on Thuhßday, 30th instant. 80 Lincoln Rams, two and four-tooth, bred by Masßrs Maclean and Co., to arrive per Tararua on Friday, 31st instant. It is hereby notified that the sale of both these lots will take place at the Spit Yards , on Friday next, at 2 p.m. Mr May and Messrs Maclean and Co, will bear all Risk and Expense of Dipping, Paddocking, and Delivery at termination of quarantine, M. These iavorite sheep are all bred from the highest class imported rams, seven vl first prize takers, and are all thoroughly good. 46 Pure Lincoln four-tooth, bred by John Bennett, EBq., of Puk-efripu, from imported rams, selected by Mr Melville Smith, and are a highly profitable class of sheep. 55 Pure Lincoln two and four-tooth, bred by Gavin Peacock, Esq.
