August 19 — Opotiki, "schooner, for Poverty Bay.

The s,s. Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, arrived in the Bay at 4 o'clock yesterday morning. She left Wellington on Saturday the 17 tli inafc., at o p.m.., and arrived at Castle Point next morning at 8 a.m.. After discharging 15 tons of cargo she left again at noon, and arrived as above. She will sail again for Wellington this day. The cutter Rapid, Capt. Ferney, arrived yasterday at 11 a.m. from Mohaka, she hay ng discharged all her cargo for that port. B^e brought back a full cargo of wood, hides, &c, and is expected to sail again to-night for Mohaka. The barquentine Falcon, Captain J. Hair, may be expected to show up in the Bay tonight, as she was sighted by the s.s. Kiwi down the coast. The schooner Opotiki, Captain Harris, was taken out yesterday at noon and sailed for Poverty Bay direct, with a cargo of coal. The p.s. Mauaia, and s.s. Result are both loading again for Waivoa. Captain Petersen, of the former steamer, expects to get away to-night. Thes.s. Southern Cross, Captain F. Holmes, arrived in the Bay yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock, aud was brought inside at high water by pilot Kraef t. She will sail for Auckland on Wednesday with, fat cattle and sheep, not to-day as reported in yesterday's Herald. The three-masted schooner Silver Cloud is taking in her cargo of ballast to-day, and may be expected to sail to-morrow for Newcastle direct. The lighter Three Brothers will discharge her cargo to-day, ex Kentish Tar. The lighter Admiral is now taking in a load from the same ship.
