Arrival of the s.s. St. Kilda.
The Colonial Government gunboat St. Kilda left this port at 7 p.m. last Tuesday for Poverty Bay ; arriving there at 4 a.m. next day, Wednesday ; but owing toa strong S.W. gale blowiug, she bore up for Wangawehi for shelter; on Thursday, the weather having to a great degree moderated, left and proceeded to the anchorage at Turanganui ; left same day for Tologa Bay, and arrived there at o*3o p.m. ; left agaiu on Friday at 8-30 a.m., arid arrived in tbe roadstead at midnight, having experienced fine weather on hor passage down. She left again last Sunday for Auckland with orders to call on the coast. Capt. Barnard kindly towed out the schooners Bee and Esther with his vessel.
