Arrival of the s.s. Star of the South.

The s.s. Star of the South left Auckland on Sunday, the 16th, at 8 a.m. ; experienced light variable winds and fine weather throughout, and arrived at Wangawehi (Mahia peninsula) at midnight on Monday. At daylight landed part of original cargo from Napier for Messrs Watts' station, and left again on Tuesday at 10 a.m. for Napier, arriving in the Iron Pot at 5 p.m. the same day. Sighted a fore-and-aft sohooner off the Mahia Peninsula, bound south, supposed to be the Coquette.
