Saturday, December 18. Advices feon. Picton relate the death of a boyjjy lightning. Last night, about twep^y minutes past six, there was a severe thunder storm, accompanied by strong /lightning and terrific thunder claps. Mr. Conolly, barrister, with his family, were under the verandah, and were just leaving to go indoors, when the house was struck by lightning. Part of the roof was carried away, one of tbe verandah posts was shattered, and a boy, ten years old, was struck oh tbe breast, and killed instantaneously. The escape of the other members of the family was miraculous.
