MOHAKA.
On Wednesday a messenger arrived with letters from the Mohaka' natives, to tHe following effect. They saw fires up the Mohaka river, in the direction where theircul-; tivations were, considerably nearer Mohaka than Putere ; and, on getting there, saw traces of strange natives, believed by them to be Hau Haus. • One of the' pa^yyJMtetti ahead ofthe others in' the desire 'to' further information, and did Apt return j, hor had he returned up to hdon'of the following day. They did not know, what bad bqcome, of him, but feared be bad 'been caught and killed. It is supposed tbat the party of whom traces were thus seen, were a small band of Uriweras, and the same whose fires were seen last Sunday atHaroto. The Mohaka natives were to start next day, ih force, in quest of Kereopa (the name of the missing man), but nothing has been heard of the result. ' ' • • \
