HERALD TELEGRAMS.
NELSON. Thursday, Oct. 4. A rich sold quartz reef has been discovered at Wangapeka river, about 50 miles from Nelson. Some splendid specimens have been brought to town. The land office was besieged this morning by persons wanting to purchase in the locality indicated. 120 acres having been bought upj the rest was withdrawn. Great expectations arc formed of the new discovery.
