THE KAIMANAWA GOLD REEFS.

Yesterday morning, H. S. Tiffen Esq., the legal manager of the Hawke's Bay Gold Mining and Prospecting Company, left Napier with a party of five, and the necessary packhorses and baggage, en route for the Kaimauawa, where they will join the prospecting party which started on Tuesday last. Subsequently (we believe) to Mr. Tiffen's departure, intelligence reached town that Capt. W. M'Donnell and a party left the camp, Tauriri, on Thursday morning last, for the Kaimanawa — his position as an officer on service having precluded his doing so sooner. Mr. Tiffen and Captain. M'Donnell will thus, in all probability, meet on the ranges ; and we fervently hope that such meeting will prove one long to be remembered.
