AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET.
[.Reports for week ending September 17.] MR. ALFRED BUCKLAKD. At the Haymarket, on Saturday last, best hay brought 5s 6d and 6s the owt. Potatoes, £5 7s 6d to £5 10s the ton. Good draught horses, medium strength, £25 to £28. Unbroken stock, adapted for plough or light harness, £10 to £19 3s ; the pair of carriage horses, £62. Store cattle have, during the past week, offered in greater numbers than usual. They have met with a very good sale at advanced prices, particularly young cattle. Fat cattle have been in average supply ; prices rathor higher than last week for medium quality ; best quality at previous rates, about 425. the 1001 b. Well-fatted sheep have offered in less numbers than a short time since. Store sheep more plentiful. For best fatted previous rates have been maintained, but store sheep are at lower values. Fat lambs were abundant on Thursday, but a great number were of small size ; they brought from 7s Gd jto 22s each. Fat pigs maintain their previous high prices, A very full supply met with a ready sale at fully 3£d the lb, live weight,
