years that it has at last considerably exceeded the consumption; hence wo see in all the markets immense stocks that will bo carried over into the new war and keep down the prices of the n««w clips. This excess of production ov ov consumption must have the effect of permanently lowering the valnoof tho article, and it behovos operators in the colonies not to lose M»ht of this fact, or tho result of the realisntion of the next clip will be as unfavorable as the one now being sold.

THE YOBKSHIBE WOOL TEADE. Leeds, Nov. 29,

The report of the wool trade from week to week has not materially varied for several months. Tho demand is devoid of all speculation, and tho fall of prices, combined with the small demand for yarns and pieces, discourages any largo purchases. Any improvement this year can hardly be expected. Colonial wool is selling slowly in this market, and most kinds are lower, but especially inferior sorts. Importers are losers and it is extremely doubtful that the next imports will be bought sufficiently low to correspond with the range of prices during the present London sales.
