The total receipts at the Customs for the month ending January 31st, amounted to £1928 Gs. 3d,
At the Meanee Yards, on Wednesday, Mr. W. P. Smith offered for sale some useful lots of cattle, the competition for which, notwithstanding the continued drought, was satisfactory. Three-year old steers realised &1 10s. ; two-year old, £5 15s. to £0 7s. 6d. ; cows, £3 12s. to £7 10s. Some splendid draught stock were offered, but did not find purchasers. The hacks disposed of were a poor lot . they brought from £3 155. to £12. '
