AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET.
Mb. Alfred Buokland's report for the week ending 10th July :— At Romuera, on Thursday, a largo number of dairy cows brought from £10 to £12 10s. each. The cattle ex Star of tho South sold in ;one lot previous to the auotion, at £13 each ; consequently the market was in seemingly short supply, but buyers were full, and last week's rates were barely sustained. Grown steers, in good condition, brought in pens from £9 17s. Cd. to £G 10s. each. The sheep market was well supplied. The Leicester ewes advertised brought 49s each ; half- bred ewes, 27s ; half-bred wethers, from '14s. 6d. to 18s. each. Well fatted half-bred wethers, from 2-ts to 28s Gd. The merino wethers ex Star of tho South brought 165. ; half-bred wethers, 2-is each. Medium quality merinoes, from Ss to 12s each.
