The Rev. P. Barclay. — Many of our readers will be glad to learn that this gentleman and his children, as well as the other passengers by the Strathallan, arrived home in safety and comfort — -having had a pleasant passage and received every attention at the hands of Captain Paddle. Mr. Barclay reached Scotland in time to be present at the meeting of the General Assembly, at which he attended as a delegate from the Presbyterian Church of this colony. He has written to many friends in Napier, and sent kind messages to many others. We should judge that, although separated from it by so many thousand miles of ocean, his heart is m New Zealand ; and we trust, at no far distant day, to see him again amongst us.
