Smith, Pbacook & Co. report that at their yftrds, Meanee, on the 26th June, they sold 40 head oattle at fair prices — steers, to £8 j cows, £7 10s, ; yearlings, 40s, to 555. a head. The horses from Wanganui, owing to no guarantee having been given by the owners, met with slow salej saddle horses were also not iv demand. On Wednesday, July 3rd, they sold a mixed draft of 110 head cattle. The attendance was small, but competition brisk, and prices ruled higher than last week, particularly for good young stock, for whioh they have several enquiries. Steers Bold at from £7 to £9 15a ; cows, £4 15s to £6 15s ; heifers, £4 15s to £5 10s ; yearlings and calves also brought full prices. Both sales were effected for cash. Meaneo, July 4, 1867.
