' Callao, May 14. The festivities and illuminations in Callao during the past fortnight, in commemoration of the glorious 2nd of May, were on a grand scale. The ships in the bay vied with the houses in the city in the brilliancy and variety of the lights; from turret and tower and from every "casa" flags fluttered in the breeze, and the principal streets lined with trees gave them quite a Parisian aspect. On the evening of the first and second inst. we had a bombardment in miniature ; the effect waspieasing and beautiful, and in marked contrast to the reality a year ago.
