Crown Lands Office, Napier, Dec. 20, 1866. 42 Preliminary Notice. npHE following BLOCKS of LAND, chiefly Agricultural, will be offered for Sale by the Provincial Government : — 1. A Blook at or near the entrance to the 40-mile Bush, comprising about 5,000 acres. 2. A Block of 1200 aores at Table Cape. 3. Suburban Allotments at the Ngaruroro Bridge. 4. 600 aores of Agricultural Land at Wai kare. 5. 800 acres of Eural Land at the Wairoa. 6. 400 acres of Bush Land at the Pohui. 7. Block containing 1905 aores of rich Agri» cultural Land, situated on the main line of road and in the centre of the Ahuriri Plains, distant about 2 miles south of the Town of Havelook, and about 16 miles from the Town of Napier, This Blook is admirably adapted for agricultural purposes. 8. 4500 acres of good Grazing Land at Waikari, The size of the several allotments in each of the Blocks specified, from 1 to 6, and date of sale, will be duly notified in the Provincial Government Gazette, Block 7 will be laid off into sections varying from 40 to 200 acres. ALL PERSONS who may be desirous of bringing out Kelations or Friends — or Settlers who wish to bring out Shepherds, Laborers, or Meohanics, to be selected by their correspondents in Great Britain and Ireland, will be enabled to do so on the follow* ing terms. Any householder or other person who shall by surety or otherwise give sufficient seourity for the repayment of passage money, shall be entitled, after signing promissory notes for the amount of such passage, to apply to the Immigration Agent at Napier, giving the name and address of the person or persons whom they desire to bring out, and on so doing, . the Provincial Agent in London will be instructed to provide a passage to Napier, giving for each Immigrant at a rate not exceeding £18 per adult. Promissory Notes for a like amount will also have to be given by intending Immigrants to the Provincial Agent in London, If the person coming, or his Agent, accepts of a pp.ssage and refuses or neglects to avail thereof after notice has been given in writing that the vessel is to sail, the party so doing shall be liable to forfeit half of the passage money. In the event of death on the voyage half only of the passage money shall be charged. The passage money is advanced in the first instance by the Provincial Government, subject to repayment in four equal half-yearly instalments of ££ 10s. eaoh, commencing from the date of arrival at Napier.
