CANADA.
The Confederation scheme has been rejected by New Brunswick by an overwhelming majority ; but expressing true loyalty to the British throne. The Executive assert that self-go-vernment is useless if the province is compelled to yield on this important question to the mother country. The English Government still urges the scheme.
