AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKET.

APBIZ, Ti, LSlii. Mr.- Alfred Buckland reports- that during the .past week the market has been fully supplied with horse stock of all classes. A considerable number has been disposed of, but at lower prices than ruled previously. Best draught, from £45 to £65 ; medium draught, £30 to £35 : strong unbroken horses, suitable for light draught or riding, from £14 to £20; inferior hacksj from £6 ; best riding horses from £25 to £35. Several cargoes of cattle have arrived from the Australias. the greater part of which are on hand. They are generally.of inferior quality, a portion only of each cargo being fit for slaughter. In fat cattle there has been no variation in price. Grown store cattle are easier.. 10s. per bead. The cargo of the Su&annah Cuthbert, sold at auction on Thursday, brought an average of £9 175. 6d. each. Good dairy cows brought from £18 to £22 each ; heifers, £13 to £16— not many in the market " Therehave been large numbers of store sheep disposed of, at fully late rates. Australian merinoes at 18s. to 21s. ■ half-bred ewes, 275. 6d. to Sis. ; lambs, 16s. 6d. each. Fat sheep have been in fair supply, without alteration in price.
