Janna*y27— Star of the South, s.s., 147 tons, C.Hodge, for Auckland, with 1000 sheep, OrmoncL— Master, agent. January 29— Lord Ashley, s.s., 296 tons, Thos. Randall, for Auckland. Passengers— Mrs. Boylan, Mr. Simpson. The Lord Ashley left Otago on the 26th inst., Lyttelton on the 27th, and Wellington on the 28th. She dropped anchor in Ahuriri roadstead yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock, and. sailed for Auckland at 7. The Waverly, Capt. Wm. Anderson, left Omaru on the 20th inst.; experienced N.N."W. and N:E. light winds. Put in here at 10 a.in. on the 29th to procure a cargo. We learn that, since his arrival , the Captain has arranged to call at Mahia for a cargo of sheep for the Auckland market. The Queen, steamer, has been bought by the New Zealand Steam Navigation Co. for £8000.
