Sra, — Perceiving that Mr. 0. L. W. Bousfield, one of the candidates for the vacant seat in the Napier Country District, has publicly stated that he has resigned the rosy billet of MdO a year he has so long held under the Provincial Government, will you kindly state whether this is corTect, and, if so, whether the gentleman in question resigned before the six months for which his salary was voted, had expired. Yours &c, An Electob foe the Country District. [We never heard before that .Mr. Bousiield resigned. Six months' salary only was voted, equivalent to a six months' notice to quit. Certainly, he drew every penny of the amount appropriated. — Ed.J
