LIVE STOCK EMBARGO
NO ACTION TO BE TAKEN. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) HAMILTON, To-day. An assurance that the Government had no intention of reopening the question of lifting the embargo on imported stock was given by Hon. Lee Martin, Minister of Agriculture, when speaking at a dinner tendered him by the Farmers’ Union at Hamilton on Saturday. The opinion obtained from the farmers of New Zealand was so definite that no good purpose would be served by reopening the question.
