ELTHAM FLOWER SHOW
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETS. (From Our Own Correspondent). A meeting of the executive committee of the Eltham Horticultural Society was held on Wednesday evening, when the president, Mr J. H. Barnard, presided and also present were: Mrs H. Cover and Messrs. R. Lewis, J. Johnson', F. R. Pepperell, G. H. Mann, J. W. Major and A. WPackard.
The president reported that a handsome silver vase had been pi’esented to the society by an anonymous donor for the Taranaki Association’s amateur championship to revert to the Eltham Society in the event of the Taranaki Association disbanding. A vote of thanks was. accorded the donor.
A schedule of school children’s •lasses an drawn up by Mrs Gudopp was approved, Mr and Mrs Gudopp being accorded a vote of thanks for their work in that connection.
It was reported that the arrangement of the schedule was now nearing completion and that it would be ready for distribution in a few days. Specially printed certificates are to be awarded for all champion blooms. In order to. foster public interest in the show, a general meeting of supporters and members will be held at an early date.
