AN INTELLIGENT DOG

A nurse working in the casualty department of Mansfield Hospital in Nottingham heard a pitiful whining. Looking down, she saw a little terrier hopping along with one of its legs held up from the floor. The dog was without a coiiar and entered alone, evidently aware that he had come to the right place for the curing of his injury. The nurse dressed his leg and, finding a corner, the dog lay down to sleep for some hours. When he awoke he barked his thanks and walked out of the hospital on all four legs.
