Turuturu Activities Widened
A garden, circle was formed, at the general meeting of the Turuturu Institute on. Wednesday when Mrs E. W. Eden was appointed convener. In spite of the inclement weather there was. a. large attendance of members and visitors from Takapau and Nlormanby. Four new members were enrolled. Votes of sympathy were passed for members who were ill. Invitations were received and accepted from the Normanby and Okaiawa Institutes. Mrs Morse was appointed delegate to the half-yearly council meeting to be held at Stratford. A competition for six varieties of home-made biscuits was won b3 r Miss I. Exley, with Mrs Eden second and Miss Johnson third. A taipo competition was won by Miss Murray. A report on the Auckland conference was read by the delegate who attended. Mrs Morse and helpers were hostesses and a special vote of thanks was accorded Mrs Morse fox* the use of her house as the racecourse was under water.
