Eltham Farewell Dance

Presentation to Miss Townsend In the Legion Rooms at Eltham, a farewell dance was tendered to Miss M. Townsend, prior to her departure from Eltham. During the evening Mr A Johnson presented Miss Townsend with a book in which were inscribed the names of those present. Mr Johnson referred to the esteem in w’hich the guest of honour was held and wished her every happiness, in her future home. Dance music ivas supplied by Mrs A. iieesley and extras were contributed by Messrs W. Peebles, C. Henderson and L. Ware. A spot waltz competition was won by Miss Townsend and Mr C. Henderson and Mr A. Johnson was master of ceremonies.
