ACCIDENT TO A TUG
WAS BEING HAULED ON SLIP. NOW PARTLY UNDER- WATER. CBy Telegraph—tress Association.) WELLINGTON, To-day. A mishap befel the Union Company’s little tug Natone while she was being hauled on to the patent slip at Evans Bay this morning. When the pull from the water commenced the Natone either slipped in the cradle or the cradle gave way, and the tug lies a', a heavy angle in the water, which rose high enough up the deck to enter the compamonways ajpd reach over the hatches.
Definite information is difficult to obtain. A diver hae been down investigating, but what the situation there may be, or what action is necessary to right the vessel was not disclosed The situation appears to be one in which the Harbour Board’s floating crane Hikitea might be able to give assistance. __
