SENATOR SHOT FROM GALLERY
TWO OTHERS WOUNDED. BODYGUARD’S FAULTY AIM. (United Press Association -By Electric Telegraph Copyright,}. BUENOS AIRES, July 23. The Argentine Senate was to-day bitterly debating a Bill to extend-Gov-ernment control of foreign meat packers when a spectator, identified by the police as Ramon Vascpicz Cora, started firing a revolver from the gallery, killing Senator Enzo Bordabeliere, who represented the Santa Fe province, and wounding Dr. Luis Dualiau, Minister of Agriculture, and Senator Rafael Maneini, who also represents Santa Fe. Senator Bordabehcrc and Dr. Dualiau were taking the opposite sides in the discussion and seemed about to engage in a fist fight when the shooting started.
The police stared that Cora was the leader of a local Fascist movement. It is believed Cora was serving as a bodyguard for his friend, Dr. Duahau, and that he shot Senor Bordabeliere to prevent him from' attacking the Minister. Cora’s aim, however, was faulty and he wounded the man he was delegated to protect.
It is thought Cora must have entered the building accompanied by the senator,'because all others were searched for arms before they were allowed to enter.
