WOMEN’S CRICKET MATCH
TOURISTS v. THE REST. RAIN INTERFERES WITH PLAY. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright). LONDON. June 16. Rain interfered: with play in: a women’s cricket match between the team which has just returned from a tour of Australia, and New Zealand and a team representing the Rest of England. The game, which was played at the Oval, was drawn. £* The Rest made 100 runs for seven wickets and declared. Miss Bull made 34 and Miss Pollard 53 not out, Miss Hyde taking four wickets for 42 runs. The tourists made 148 for six wickets, of which Miss McLaggan made 56.
