Appreciation of the Government’s action in appointing a New Zealand Trade Commissioner at Brussels was expressed to-day by Mr Nihotte, Consul for Belgium in the Dominion. He said that trade was considerable between the two countries and probably would bo increased as a result of the appointment. The New Zealand apples offered by action at Antwerp in April realised about 10s a case and there should be a good demand for them there at the present time of the year.
