TO VISIT GERMANY
INVITATION TO BRITISH LEGION ESTABLISHING FRIENDLY CONTACT (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 15. The British Legion has received and accepted an official invitation from the four principal German ex-servicemen’s organisations, and a delegation will proceed to Berlin on July 13 to establish friendly contact with these organisations.
Mr George Lansbury, speaking at a builders’ dinner, applauded the Prince’s suggestion that ex-servicemen should visit Germany. He said it would he a fini? gesture if the Prince of Wales accompanied the British Legion and subsequently went to Russia, where he would receive as good a reception as Mr Anthony Eden had.
